Connect ChatGPT to AJEMS

Add the AJEMS connector in ChatGPT, sign in with your workspace details, and start asking questions about your data.

Before you start: custom connectors are added through ChatGPT’s Developer mode on the web. If the toggle in step 1 is missing, ask your workspace administrator — it can be switched off for a whole organisation.

Turn on Developer mode

In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings › Security and login and switch on Developer mode.

This is what allows custom connectors to be added at all. Without it, the option in step 3 never appears.

Open the plugins list

Go to Settings › Plugins and choose Browse plugins at the bottom of the list.

Add a new plugin

On the Plugins page, click the + button in the top right.

Enter the AJEMS details

Fill in the New Plugin form:

  • NameAJEMS
  • ConnectionChoose Server URL, then paste the address below.
  • AuthenticationOAuth
https://mcp.ajems.com/mcp

Leave Advanced OAuth settings alone, tick I understand and want to continue, then create the plugin.

Include the /mcp ending. Without it the sign-in succeeds but ChatGPT then reports that no server was found.

Sign in to your workspace

The AJEMS sign-in page opens. Allow popups if your browser blocks it, then enter:

  • Organisation nameThe subdomain of your AJEMS workspace, for example kathaa.
  • Secret keyFound in AJEMS under Settings › JSON Builder. Sent as the X-Json-Builder-Secret-Key header.

Your secret key stays on the AJEMS server. ChatGPT never receives it, and the connector can only reach your own workspace.

Ask a question

Start a new chat and mention the connector in your first message so ChatGPT knows to use it, for example: “Using AJEMS, list the forms in my workspace.”

What ChatGPT can do: searching and reading your AJEMS data works once the connector is added. Creating apps, forms and records depends on how far your ChatGPT plan allows custom connectors to write — individual accounts are usually read-only.

Connected assistants can only reach the workspace you signed in with. To disconnect, remove the connector in ChatGPT under Settings › Apps.
